Working with historic properties requires a depth of knowledge regarding the appropriateness of alterations and additions to the interiors and exteriors in order to retain the architectural integrity. Altering an historic property in an insensitive manner can affect the value and jeopardize its status in an historic district. Susan offers that depth of knowledge through her work on historic properties in Tennessee, Kentucky & Texas.  She served as a committee member of the Designation Committee and Conservation Zoning Committee for Kessler Park in Dallas, Texas, and currently serves as commissioner for the Franklin Historic Zoning Commission. She is an adjunct instructor at O’More College of Design teaching Historic Preservation.
